The challenges we face are many. We know that a devastating wildfire can come at any moment, and increasingly, even the security that comes with wildfire insurance is at risk. The climate crisis continues to create a more dangerous and unpredictable world while too many of us are struggling with the cost of housing and healthcare, and too many of our neighbors are experiencing societal traumas like homelessness and addiction.
Throughout my decades of public service – as a State Assemblymember, County Supervisor, City Councilmember, School Board Member, and California Deputy Attorney General – I have stood up for our shared values, listened to our community, and worked to deliver real results, and real change.
Representing the North Bay in the State Assembly since 2022, I have championed increasing wildfire prevention and secured funding for more firefighters, vehicles and equipment, vegetation management, and home hardening. Through hard-fought legislation, I have worked to expand home insurance discounts for Californians, strengthen local protections against pesticide spraying, limit fees on residential solar, expand access to doctors, nurses, and caregivers, increase housing affordability, and implement compassionate solutions to help the unhoused.
I'm proud to have raised a family here in the North Bay and to have had the opportunity to serve our community in the California State Assembly.
